If you want to tick off several countries in one go, a travel expert has shared a European border city where you can easily visit three in a single day.
Travel blogger Chyna posted on TikTok saying this is her favourite “trick” when she’s trying to fit in as many destinations as she can.
The city she recommends is in Switzerland, which also sits right next to two other countries, making it the perfect base for a busy day of exploring.

“It borders both France and Germany, which means you can spend the morning shopping in Germany, the afternoon in France and then head back to Basel for dinner,” Chyna said excitedly.
She explained that the city sits on a tripoint where all three countries meet, meaning you can walk from one to another in just 15 minutes.
She added: “There’s also a bridge where you can see all three countries at the same time, and there’s even a marker showing the exact point where they touch.”
You can reach Germany by tram, which takes around 20 minutes from Basel’s city centre.
“You’ll need to carry your passport because the tram crosses the border,” Chyna warned. “Border officers get on before the tram stops in Germany to check your ID, and if you’re from the UK, only your passport will work – your driving licence won’t.”

Chyna filmed her journey, showing that when you get off the tram you’ll find a shopping centre, a restaurant, and even a bridge that leads straight into France.
“There’s a tiny village where you can stop for lunch, and as soon as I stepped into France, my EU roaming worked again because I had to use an e-SIM in Switzerland,” she explained.
She finished by saying: “What I love most is how each country feels different, even though they’re only minutes apart. The whole experience is really special – it’s such a fun way to travel.”
