Europe’s cheapest capital city where Brits enjoy £59 five-star stays and £1.70 beer

Europe’s cheapest capital city can be found in a country that is said to be very fond of British visitors.
Here, a beer costs around £1.68 and a five-star hotel stay can be as little as £59 per person.
The budget-friendly capital sits in the Balkans, close to Montenegro, Albania, Serbia and North Macedonia, based on research by Vatican Tours and Tickets.
After reviewing average prices for food, transport and hotels in European capital cities last year, this plac3 took the top spot.

Daily costs came in at just £25.24 (€29.97), while hotels averaged £118.78 (€141.03) for a five-night stay in September.
Figures from Numbeo show a coffee costs £1, a beer is £1.68 and a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant is only £18.
The cost of living study from Numbeo also found that Pristina is around 68 percent cheaper than London, not including rent.
Kosovo is also known for being friendly towards Brits due to the UK’s role during the conflict with Serbia in the 1990s. British soldiers were part of a NATO peacekeeping mission known as the Kosovo Force, or KFOR.
Local resident Atdhe Muharremi shared his memories with The Guardian, explaining how British troops would sometimes join in games while on patrol. He said they would pass footballs around and interact with people in the area.

World Heritage Site is famous for its beautiful design and detailed wall paintings.
Visitors who want to learn more about local life should head to the Ethnological Museum.
Set inside a traditional Albanian-style house, it shows the history and culture of Kosovo, including old clothing, crafts and everyday customs.
Another great place to explore is Germia Park, which is ideal for walking, hiking or even swimming in warmer months. The park also offers lovely views looking out over the city of Pristina.
