The stunning Spanish island where temperatures climb to 27°C in October

It’s that time of year again when many people start thinking about booking a quick escape, as the British weather begins to cool.

Finding a destination that’s close to home but still offers warm sunshine in October can be a challenge.

However, there’s a stunning Spanish island that often goes unnoticed and could be the perfect choice. This beautiful part of Spain makes an ideal spot for a “late summer” break.

Next week, the island is expected to hit temperatures of around 27°C, giving visitors the chance to enjoy some extra sunshine before winter arrives.

Majorca is the largest of Spain’s Balearic Islands and the seventh biggest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Its capital, Palma, also serves as the capital of the Balearic Islands region, which has been an autonomous community of Spain since 1983.

Two smaller islands sit just off Majorca’s coast: Cabrera, to the southeast of Palma, and Dragonera, to the west.

Along with Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, Majorca is one of Spain’s most popular holiday destinations. It attracts millions of visitors every year, including around 2.3 million people from the UK.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is one of the busiest in Spain, with tens of millions of travellers passing through its terminals annually.

Majorca offers the perfect mix of sunny weather and variety, from charming old towns to fascinating historical landmarks.

It’s a dream destination for those who love exploring local culture and scenery, with countless beautiful villages and heritage sites scattered across the island.

Food lovers will also be in their element here, as Majorca is home to thousands of restaurants serving everything from fresh seafood and rice dishes to traditional tapas.

Es Trenc, the island’s longest and most famous beach, is known for its soft white sand and crystal-clear waters, kept pure by the island’s rich seabed of sea grass meadows that help oxygenate the water.
