Tripadvisor has put together a list of the top places to visit in Africa using thousands of reviews from travellers around the world.
Among the many amazing destinations, Praslin Island stands out as a brilliant choice for UK holidaymakers.
The island is part of the Seychelles and enjoys warm tropical weather all year. Right now, temperatures are reaching around 31C, which makes it even more tempting for a sunshine break.

Praslin is one of the most popular islands in the Seychelles, and it is easy to see why. It is known for its unspoilt beaches, colourful coral reefs, thick forests and rare wildlife.
The island is perfect for nature lovers and for anyone wanting to slow down and escape busy daily life, while also being ideal for those chasing the sun.
The island is the second largest in the Seychelles group and is split by a line of hills running from east to west.
Praslin is famous for its stunning beaches, including Anse Lazio, Anse Georgette and Grand Anse.
Anse Lazio is one of the most well known beaches not only on Praslin but across the Seychelles.
Its soft golden sand and clear blue water attract visitors from all over the world. With a 4.7 star rating on Tripadvisor, one traveller even called it one of the best beaches on the planet.

Another visitor shared their thoughts, saying Anse Lazio feels like pure paradise. They praised the fine sand, bright blue sea and calm atmosphere, saying it was an experience they would never forget.
As well as Anse Lazio, Praslin has many other beautiful beaches that are great for relaxing or trying water activities.
Visitors can enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling and kayaking in the clear, warm waters.
Praslin is also a fantastic place to explore nature. One of its highlights is the Vallée de Mai, a protected park filled with ancient palm forest.
It is home to the world’s largest group of coco de mer palms, which produce the biggest seed found anywhere on Earth.
This special reserve is also one of the smallest natural UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is praised for its unique beauty and natural scenery, making it a must visit spot for anyone travelling to Praslin.
