A beautiful seaside city could be an ideal place for a holiday this autumn, as it stays warm even in October.
This place sits on the southwest coast of Turkey. It lies along the Turkish Riviera and is backed by the tall Taurus Mountains.
In October, the city's average daytime temperature is around 21°C, though it can fall to 16°C and climb to 27°C.

Its hottest month is August, when the average temperature reaches 29°C and highs of 35°C are common.
Lonely Planet describes the city as both “classically beautiful and stylishly modern”, with clifftop views of distant mountains and lovely beaches. The area has remains from the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Seljuk periods.
Much of Antalya’s surviving architecture dates from the medieval Seljuk era. Mosques, madrasahs, old inns, Turkish baths and tombs give the city a strong Turkish-Islamic look.
Key ancient sites include the old City Walls, Hıdırlık Tower, Hadrian’s Gate (also called Triple Gate) from the 2nd century, and the Clock Tower.
There are also several stunning mosques and churches to explore. Many of the historical buildings are found in the well-preserved old town, Kaleiçi.
The old centre, with its narrow cobbled lanes and traditional Ottoman-style houses, has been carefully restored to keep its historic charm. It is home to hotels, bars, clubs, restaurants and shops.

This area also includes the old harbour, where steep cobbled streets lead from the water up into the historic town.
Wooden houses line the paths, adding to its old-world feel. Cumhuriyet Square, the city’s main square and a favourite meeting point for visitors and locals, is surrounded by shops, business buildings and public offices.
The region has several beaches, including Lara, Adalar, Mermerli and Konyaalti. Some beaches are sandy and others are pebbly, but all have beautiful clear water and offer great days out.
