One of Europe’s quietest beaches stuns visitors and leaves them amazed

With the Easter school holidays and bank holidays coming up, lots of Brits will be heading to Europe’s most popular holiday spots.

But if the recent sunshine in England has not quite been enough, and you would rather avoid packed beaches, a last minute trip could still be a great option.

One place that stands out is this hidden gem, which has been named one of the quietest beaches in Europe.

The beach, whose name means cliff beach, is famous for its golden sand, clear sea and striking red cliffs.

It stretches for more than six kilometres between Vilamoura and Albufeira. According to Wizz Air, it ranks seventh among the least crowded Easter beach breaks for sun lovers.

If you are travelling from the UK, the best airport to fly into is Faro Airport, which serves the Algarve region.

A direct flight from London to Faro costs around £117 on average and takes just under three hours.

Several airlines run direct routes, including easyJet, Jet2 and Ryanair.

Praia da Falésia sits 38.3 kilometres from Faro Airport, which is roughly a 32 minute drive by car. A taxi journey usually costs between £40 and £50.

Hotel prices near Praia da Falésia can vary depending on the time of year. Budget options can start from about £32 per night, while higher end places such as the Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Hotel Spa can cost around £106 per night.

Although Praia da Falésia is located in one of the busiest parts of the Algarve, the beach itself remains clean and natural, according to Algarve Tourist.

The website also explains that the soft clay cliffs and the protected nature park above them have stopped large hotel developments.

This has helped keep the beach free from unattractive mega resorts and preserved its natural beauty.
