There is growing concern in Majorca over new rules affecting UK tourists in this popular European holiday spot.
It’s reported that Brits will soon need to provide 43 pieces of information when visiting the Balearic Islands.
These new regulations may discourage British tourists from visiting, experts say.
The law will require hotel owners and rental property hosts to collect and submit 43 specific details about their guest....43!

Spain’s Mesa del Turismo, a council of tourism industry leaders, has managed to temporarily halt the new Royal Decree, citing "the impossibility of compliance for tourism companies and potential conflict with the Data Protection Act."
Originally set to begin on October 1, the new law is now postponed until December.
Frank, a Benidorm local known on TikTok as @frankthestagman, said: “Honestly, I can’t believe we’ve reached a point where anyone can demand this kind of information.”
He claimed that “as soon as you arrive at the airports,” tourists will need to fill out forms and share personal (very personal) details.

He explained that much of the information requested is “very personal.” He added, “If you don’t provide all of this information, you could face a fine of up to 30,000 euros. Wow.”
The Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT) warned: “Automating this process is impossible, and it would require extra manual work, leading to more errors."
One person commented, “This will really put people off—it’s too much hassle for a bit of sun.” Another replied, “Won’t be going.” A third added, “That’s a shame. We’ve been to Finestrat for the last two years, visiting Benidorm too. We were about to book again, but now we’re not.”
