1. Book Manuel Antonio park entry online at sinac.go.cr. Tickets sell out completely in peak season. 2. Enter the park at opening (7am). Wildlife is most active in the morning. Midday animals rest. 3. Hire a certified wildlife guide at the park entrance. Spotting sloths without one is very difficult. 4. Nauyaca Falls horseback tours depart at 8am. Book the day before through a Dominical operator. 5. Marino Ballena whale watching peaks July to October. Humpbacks calve in this protected bay. 6. Manuel Antonio beach can have riptides. Always swim between the flags and watch the currents.
